I'm Becky!

I wanted to start a creative dance class in Aldersbrook for young children to ignite their passion and explore their creativity. Having trained in contemporary dance, my classes aim to teach body awareness whilst allowing children to build their own movement vocabulary through games and tasks. For me it is not about the style of dance but building the confidence in exploring and sharing movement you love.  

 

With over 10 years of experience in both community and professional dance organisations, I am dedicated to creating inclusive environments for young people. My passion is to empower every individual to their full potential, demonstrating how dance can give essential skills that are transferable to all areas of life. ​

 

Day to day I manage the National Youth Dance Company at Sadler's Wells working with top choreographers such as Wayne McGregor CBE, to nurther the next generation of talented dance artists. Before this I worked at a range of performing arts organisations within the Learning & Engagement teams; Royal Academy of Dance (ballet), Impact Dance (hip-hop theatre) and Garsington Opera (opera).
